Senior Awarded Waldemar J. Trjitzinksy Scholarship From Mathematical Society

Fujino received the $3,000 scholarship check from Tom Polaski, chair of the Department of Mathematics at Winthrop. The scholarship is one of eight awarded nationwide each year by the society to assist talented students with their mathematics studies. The Trjitzinsky Scholarships were made possible by a bequest from the estate of Waldemar J. Trjitzinsky, a professor of mathematics at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, from 1934-69.
