Using Microfossils to Examine Paleoclimate Through Glacial / Interglacial Cycles at ODP Site 1233, Chile Margin, Southeast Pacific Ocean

By investigating marine microfossils from the ODP Leg 202 ocean core at Site 1233 off the coast of Chile, I hope to expand on the paleoclimate reconstruction project I worked on during Summer Fellows 2023. The project will include counting and identifying the species of radiolarians and diatoms within sediment samples from the Site to investigate if species richness changes during the transition from the last glacial period to today's interglacial period.
