Methods XII, the Twelfth International Conference on Methods in Dialectology,was held at the Universite de Moncton in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada,from I to 5 August 2005, The event was hosted by the Centre de recherche enlinguistique appliquee of the Universite de Moncton, and it was co-organized bycolleagues from five universities located in Canada's Maritime Provinces: AtlanticBaptist University, Mount Allison University, Universite de Moncton, Universityof New Brunswick and University of Prince Edward Island.
